I am forensic artist with a background in psychology, Body language and Micro Expressions. My interest in the human face began when I become a portrait artist, I realised I was not just drawing a face. I was fascinated to find that there are 44 muscles in the human face that are responsible for our expressions.I wanted to know more and led me into a passion for forensic art, there is nothing I love doing more.
I am hard of hearing and I wear hearing aids, depending on the environment that I am in I sometimes wear 2 hearing aids. My hearing loss became an obstacle for about 2 seconds, I decided that it wasn't going to hold me back in any way so I am now learning sign language both ASL, BSL and lip reading. I have every intentions of incorporating them into my work and offering sign language and lip reading services to other forensic artists that are in need of an interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing. A new world has presented itself to me and I lovingly accept it.
During my pursuit and training in forensic art I came across the reality of the unidentified and missing people in the world, thousands upon thousands of people are known as John Does and Jane Does, not fitting for a person who once had a name and an identity. I knew there and then that forensic art was going to be a major part of my life.
